What is Mentor Basketball Association about?
For over 20 years, the Mentor Basketball Association (MBA) has provided an opportunity for boys and girls to learn the game of basketball. Last year, over 450 children participated.
The MBA has established an excellent reputation over the years for teaching basketball fundamentals and promoting competitiveness within the perimeters of good sportsmanship. The majority of the players that compete in this league continue onto the junior high and varsity levels.
Boys and girls in grades 3 thru 6 are eligible to participate. Second graders are eligible with parent/league approval. Separate leagues for boys and girls are established. Practices start in November and are held at the various elementary schools during the week. Games are played at the Mentor High gym on Sundays starting in December and ending in March.
